This expedition takes you to western Suriname, the most sparsely populated area of the country and therefore the most interesting location to spot a variety of animals. The trip starts at the bauxite road at Zanderij which leads us all the way to Apoera at the Corantijn River, which adjoins British Guyana. The Indigenous people have always been the only inhabitants of this area, and they still live here. During this trip you’ll spend the night in different locations to make sure you get to experience all the highlights.
A beautiful combination of nature and a part of Indigenous culture. This trip is mostly suitable for the more adventurous travelers who don’t mind going back to basic in exchange for an amazing experience.
